This is how a heart breaks.

I had a heart to heart talk with one of my friends just now. She’s coping with a break up and I realized that it’s all the same, you know. When you just feel like you still care when you don’t want to. When you still hope for the late night phone call even when you know it is nearly impossible for him to call you. When you just feel like a simple text message from him would be good enough for you to cope up with your life, that just by a simple “HI”, he could make up for everything he did. It’s the same for all of us who are mending, who just feel like days are dragging by when you just try to survive, but you can’t seem to live your life, at least not now. The feeling that, although there are other men out there for you, you just want him, and only him.

And you still have that kind of hurt, that kind of stab-in-the-heart whenever somebody mentions his name, or when you just remember, yes, when you just simply remember about him, and everything you once did with him. The distant feeling when you went to a place where you used to go with him, you just feel that familiar lump in your throat, like you want to cry but you just can’t seem to. And even when you’re with your friends, when you’re laughing with them or something, but in the middle of the joke you suddenly remember about him, and you just feel drained all of a sudden, like the energy in you has been sucked by some invisible force. And the sad thing is, you can’t help it. You can’t help but feel this way, feeling like you want to text him, but know that you can’t. Feeling like you miss him every single phucking day, and knowing you can’t do anything about it.

It hurts. It really stabs.

And thing is, you’re the only one that feels that way, while he’s just, happy with his life. It’s unfair. You’re hurting here while you see him, happy, and looking all normal like it doesn’t effect him in any way. It hurts, you can’t explain how painful it is, but it really is painful. Its like you’d rather be getting a terrible fever, or to have your heart cut out, than having a broken heart. Because having a broken heart is one thing, but trying to live with a broken heart? That’s the most hurtful thing ever. THE MOST hurtful thing ever.

Awwwww... doesn't this just break your heart? :'(

Just so you know boys, how our hearts broke then, and how our hearts break now isn't much different. We still feel the same pain, we still cry the same tears. It still hurts just as much as this. We just learn to eventually hide it from you once we learn that you don't care.

have you ever tried sleeping with a broken heart? you could try sleeping in my bed.
