nasi kenduri - yong tau fu - subway

Today I had an awfully tiring, but nonetheless amazing day. Woke up super early to catch the early train to try get to KL central to meet the girls before 9.30am. Turns out I was the first one there before Vinn arrived followed by Ede. We then waited for Shasha and Farah to get there from campus. Then, all of us boarded the train headed for Taman Wahyu where Ika picked us up.

Turns out that  the wedding hall was much farther than we thought it would be but armed with a map on the back of the wedding card and a pocket full of patience, we finally got there. And just in time too! When we were driving up to the entrance and into the Apartment, the Groom's car was right behind us!

When we got into the hall, we bumped into Nua, Shiqa and Amy already digging into their food. The food was delicious though I was a little upset it wasnt Nasi minyak. Hehe.. I'm sorry I have no idea why but I've been having these nasi minyak cravings lately-___-"

While piling my plate with food, suddenly I saw Puteri, Mrs Bride's little sister surrounded by a bunch of these ladies all talking to her so I just waved to her from the buffet table but when she saw me she ran straight almost jumping at me saying, "Kak Layla! haritu janji nak nyanyi utuk puteri, nyanyi lah sekarang!" lol! I don't think Puteri has ever known my real name even though when I talk to her I always refer to myself as  Syaf and not Layla but I don't mind it anyway. It makes me feel really nice when I see the face of someone happy to see me. Even more when it's a kid, cz kids facial expression are always true :)

Anyway, to my dearest classmate/ friend/ and awfully funny and always animated Tok (who looks like kak Ros from Upin & Ipin) hehe.. Congratulations on your marriage! I'm very happy for both you and Mr. KZ. I hope you both the best in the years to come. Oh, The wedding was beautiful! Best of wishes :) 

We left the wedding at around 1:00PM. On the way back we stopped at KL Central and I had Yong Tau Fu again but don't worry, I didn't drop another egg this time. Hehehe! ohgawdthawassoembarassing! Ede and Vinn won't let me hear the last of it! Haha! After some rest, we all separated and went on our own ways home. I got back at around 5:00PM totally exhausted. By that time it was too late to go see Danny anyway. But it's no rush anymore since he wont be going to Australia anymore end of this month/ year. Instead, he's been offered to go to Paris July next year. Now how cool is that! 

That night, Bella and me went to have our long-anticipated Subway moment.

Boy do I miss those days or what! As usual we got chatting about anything and everything merepeking most of the time!

Then, we went into Giant to get some stuff and Bella came out with TWO boxes of Colgate toothpaste saying, "I don't think I need toothpaste at home but I don't care." And guess why she didn't care?

That's it. You get a FREE spongebob mug! HAHA! Sometimes, I think that's why she and me are such good friends. I buy Kinder Bueno Eggs solely for the purpose of the toys inside, and Bella.. Well.. she goes for toothpaste :P

It was overall, a great day. Exhausting, but great. I don't have any pictures of the wedding because I took some with my LCA, and most, we just depended on Shasha's DSLR and the cameraman's photos which I'm gonna have to ask Alya for. Thank you friends for the great day today :)


i still find each day too short for all the thoughts i want to think, all the walks i want to take, all the books i want to read and all the friends i want to see.
