It all started when Bella said she wanted to go get someone a birthday present at KLCC so she asked us if we wanted to come along and well, since the only thing I had planned for the Saturday was to spend it at the library drafting out a writing lesson plan, I was more than happy to tag along. And pluss, KLCC means Kinokuniya, and Kinokuniya means book heaven! Woohoo!
So we left around 11.30am, drove to Setiawangsa, and took the monorail to KLCC cz we knew the traffic would be wicked on a saturday. When we got there, we walked around and in a few shops scouting for the perfect birthday present. The first part of awesomeness for that day happened here, when the searching for the perfect birthday present (she got two actually!) went pretty smooth that we had plenty of time to burn so we just walked around, window shopped and just had fun hanging out. Before we left KLCC we got up to Kinokuniya to get the books I've been long saving up for. Too bad though two of the books I wanted were out of stock, but I still did get one book:
You see, I'm a sucker for fairy tales so it was exciting to see the classics from Brothers Grimm, Hans Christen Anderson and those alike given a new and modernized twist.. I only managed to finish reading 'The Snow Queen' before I dozed off last night and I found it to be really funny :D
Well, after leaving KLCC we went over to Carrefour to check out some reasonable baju kurung for practicum next year (no harm in restocking our wardrobes from now is there?) hehe... though none of us actually brought anything in the end anyways. We still had plenty of time to burn so we went to Jusco for a while and then headed over to Kg. Baru to Chop & Grill to buka puasa! We were hungry as lions and thirsty as... ok I don't know as what but we (each) ordered TWO drinks! Haha! Yess. Anak dara ape ni. Hehe.. but gawd we were so thirsty that when it came time to break fast, we actually chugged down one glass before attacking our meals. I think the lamb my chop came from died happy, cz the feeling kinda premeated into me while I devoured it. Haha.. Yes. I'm an evil savage monster.
rainbow coloured concoctions :D
I'm sorry I ate you up little lamb, I loved you so.
After that, we headed back to Wangsamaju for some dessert at the Tutti Frutti across the road. A perfect end to our meal, and a perfect end to our day.
my tutti frutti full of sugary goodnes!
The awesomeness vibe lasted the whole day. Right until we got home, either one of us would be going, "bestnye hari ni!!" because seriously, best gila! I mean, we stared out relaxed, things went smoothly according to plan, we had PLENTY of time to just chill and enjoy each other's company, everybody got what they wanted (Bella: presents, me: books, Ede: whatevershewantedtoget at Watsons, Vinn: Bukak Puasa at Chop & Grill, and all of us: Tutti Frutti!) Even with loan money in hand, none of us actually did any shopping at all. Not even the shopaholic Bella! All our money was put into either our tummies for the scrumpdilliumptious food we got to devour, or on the road itself. Every penny we spent was worth it. We were just happy being happy:)
and so, this is just episode one of the last season of our time together in B.Ed. TESL. Time is running out fast so we're trying to make enough memories to last us for the rest of our lives, or until we meet again after our new lives begins that is. Because someday, when we're busy working, or continuing studies doing masters or being married and producing mini us, we'll need something like these days to look back on and remember.. that friendship, lasts forever.
Thank you for the day guys. It made up for all the crummy bad days we had when things never seemed to go right. I love you all to bits!
